Within IBM Research, the Geospatial Discovery Network is being developed under the Climate & Sustainability strategy. It is in-line with Embed2Scale and includes research on geospatial and climate big data discovery, cloud native AI climate impact workflows, AI for climate applications, and a seamless developer experience. Research results can be introduced to the market through the IBM Business Units with the following products: IBM Environmental Intelligence Suite, a store of more than 6 Petabytes of earth observation and weather / climate data, to inform about disruptive environmental conditions and The Weather Company which runs 7 weather models with world-wide coverage, powering the majority of Android apps.
