Geo-Embeddings Sprint II
October 27 – October 28
The second Geo-Embeddings Sprint (hosted by IBM Zurich) brings together researchers, AI developers, Earth Observation experts, data providers, standards organisations, and operational users to advance the emerging ecosystem around Earth Observation embeddings.
Following the successful inaugural sprint in March 2026, this edition shifts the focus towards benchmarking, evaluation, operational adoption, education, and community building. Participants will work together to define best practices for assessing foundation model embeddings, improve interoperability across EO platforms, and identify pathways for wider adoption across research, public institutions, and industry.
The event closely aligns with Embed2Scale’s objectives of enabling scalable AI-powered Earth Observation through neural compression, embeddings, and efficient data infrastructures.
