Agricultural production is continually affected by weather extremes, which are likely to become more severe and frequent in the near future. This poses a threat to European food security by reducing crop yields and driving up food prices. Timely monitoring of crop phenology is essential for understanding and evaluating the impact of climate change on crop production. However, the vast amounts of EO data from both optical and climate sensors present a computational and storage bottleneck.

This webinar will showcase how we can monitor crop phenology at the country or continental scale by using embeddings rather than raw Sentinel-2/1 data.
