Embed2Scale Consortium Concludes Final Face-to-Face General Assembly in Madrid
On 6 and 7 October 2026, Embed2Scale project partners gathered in Madrid for two productive days marking the consortium’s final face-to-face General Assembly meeting. Hosted by SatCen, the meeting brought together project partners and Advisory Board members for insightful exchanges, collaborative discussions, and valuable strategic feedback.
During the two-day assembly, the consortium reflected on Embed2Scale’s progress, key achievements, remaining challenges, and final priorities. Collaborative discussions focused on remaining tasks, downstream applications, dissemination, exploitation, and preparations for upcoming project events.
Recognition from the Advisory Board
The meeting highlighted encouraging feedback from the Embed2Scale Advisory Board regarding the project’s impact on the broader Earth Observation ecosystem. Reflecting on this progress, one Advisory Board member noted:
“When Embed2Scale began in 2024, almost no one in the geospatial community was talking about embeddings yet, but today, these topics are increasingly central to geospatial discussions. I believe that the constant, excellent outreach and knowledge-sharing of Embed2Scale may have contributed to this shift.”
Next Steps and Final Priorities
With the General Assembly concluded, the Embed2Scale team is fully focused on executing its final project phase. Key priorities ahead include:
- Finalising key project deliverables
- Hosting the upcoming use case validation webinars
- Delivering the final dissemination webinar
- Executing exploitation activities to ensure Embed2Scale’s results remain accessible and impactful beyond the project’s lifetime
